BMW Germany donates two engines

In December BMW Munich (Germany) donates two engines. Both 3-Litre Biturbo engines equipped with direct fuel injection will be used for training at the Ghanaian-German Vocational School. By means of those engines students can learn, how modern engines work and practice to repair those. This support of BMW will increase the value of the education in Ghana. We thank the department EA-801, which provided the engines.

Kevin Ewudzie and NGO Goldcoast on German TV broadcast

A coverage in the TV-show 17:30 live, which is the local programm of the TV broadcast Sat.1, did report about Kevin Ewudzi. He is Paramount Chief of Nkusukum Traditional Area and in Ghana known as Nana Okese Essandoh IX.

Lavatories completed

In Febuary 2009 we received a considerable donation by dSPACE GmbH. The company which is a supplier of technoligy for the automotive industrie donated 5000 Euro to purchase sewing-machines and to put up lavatories. The purchase of the sewing-machines has been done quickly. The lavatories have been completed in the past days. The some 50 students are glad to have finally access now to toilets in their own school.

The artists Werner Gutzeit and Herbert Mutz have donatet about 30 drawings, which now are to be sold by auction to their new owners. NGO Goldcoast will receive the proceeds.

dSPACE GmbH donates EUR 5000

The greatest donation by a single person or institution until now has been made by dSPACE GmbH. Located in Paderborn, Germany, the company is mainly a supplier of technology for customers in the automotive industry. DSPACE regularly sells used computers etc. to its employees. The raised money is put into charitable purposes. So we received Euro 5000 in February 2009. This considerable amount of money is needed urgently, to process the further development of our school. Generous donation from Raiffeisenbank Heide

An exposition the paintings of the Danish artist Werner Gutzeit in the Raiffeisen Bank Heide ended on 6th Feb, 2008. Many people came to meet the artist. Chairman Willi Ruge surprised the mebers of Goldküste by announcing a donation. Together with Anja Carl, he presented a 500 Euro cheque to Prof. Dr. Rainer Veyhl.
