Project
Retrospect
We planned a vocational school complex in Akatakyiwa near Yamoransa. The first departments car repairing and dressmaking.
The land was weeded a a container with donations in kind had arrived. The NGO Goldküste e.V. helped the Ghanaian partner NGO to erect the school buildings.
The buildings are lightweight constructions and the container is used as a store. The nearby primary school can be used for theoretical lessons in the afternoon. Thus the costs can be kept low.
The district chief executive of Mfantseman, hon. Robert Quainoo-Arthur, has guaranteed that he will care for the connection to water and electricity supply.

Sod Cutting
On March 8, 2007 we celebrated Sod Cutting in Akatakyiwa. The building of the vocational school has started now. Within this year, the buildings are supposed to be ready, so that teaching can start next year.
We are showing here the first pictures of the Sod Cutting, which was not only ceremonious, but also cheerful. Hon. Robert Quainoo-Arthur was patron of the event. Newspapers, radio and TV reported about it.
For the organization of the event we express our gratitude to the president of our partner NGO, Mr. Anthony Alick Eghan, and his wife, Mrs. Grace Eghan.
